YES. I agree with this so much. I cry…a lot. I am often moved to tears by my own expression and was told by people around me (never my mother) growing up that I was “too” emotional, “too sensitive”. FUCK THAT NOISE. I think it takes great strength to let go on that level.

wake up and realize it’s Christmas morning

walk down stairs

make my way over to my stocking

see santa ate the mince pies and rudolf ate the carrot

sit in front of the Christmas tree and stare at all the presents

Run around the house and realize no one else is awake

realize its actually 5 in the morning and I have to wait 2 more hours before i can open some presents
